Mockup

Its a practice and much more of a learning. I’ve created a mockup of how I’m going to design a website for a tour guide.

Its only been a month that i’ve started learning how to design a website (not visual, the codes).

An example

So hopefully I’ve grabbed the attention of the “viewers”.
One thing I’ve learnt all these time is that people are not into reading stuff. Its more about the appealing visual impact that you make.

And I think I’ve done a pretty bad job at the visual impact I am supposed to create.

Sharing it, in case it turns out helpful for other starters as well.

Here are few of the works I’ve done for the college so far over the years using Photoshop. Pain in the ass but equally fruitful in experience.

How to Wear a Half- Kira

This post is about how to wear a half-Kira (informal national female dress of Bhutan). Of course I do not know how to wear it. And my dear friend helped me out to stop me from trying to peek…

The credit for the entire work goes to Miss Chhoennyi Rabjor Wangmo, currently in the process of completing a degree in Civil Engineering. She is a very dear friend of mine. Thank you so much for your efforts.

Description of Half-Kira:

Popular in hot regions of Bhutan (but now it’s popularity has increased exponentially over the years because its cheap and easy to wear), a half kira is not as bulky as the formal Kira (Full). Culturally, it is discouraged to preserve traditional cultural values. But, most ladies prefer to use the half-Kira instead of the formal full one.

If all the materials required are ready, you are ready to go!

All the best!

A Simple game with Javascript

Copy the following codes, paste it in the notepad. After that save it anywhere you want with the name “bounce.html”.

Actually you can give any name following by the .html extension. And then open the file.

If permission is asked by the browser to allow the ActiveX control or not, press allow. Its ok. 🙂

For the programmers, I’ve only used simple codes in html and javascripts. It is easier to understand what each line does. Others might be a bit confusing but is not so complex. I love using counters.

Its a simplest game ever. Might be frustrating.

ENJOY!

Awesome guitar solos

This is a song we 7 friends composed and played.
We call ourselves “The Damned Alliance”. Still sounds immature I think.
We did not record it in the studio.
We had a laptop in front of us and recorded from it’s mic.
We go off-beat few times.
We still laugh about it.

00:00 – 00:47 Slow intro intro
00:47 – 01:25 Fast intro
01:25 – 02:20 First Verse
02:20 – 02:45 Interval music
02:45 – 03:45 Second Verse
03:45 – 04:08 Quirky Intro for third verse
04:08 – 04:52 Third verse
04:52 – 05:16 Preparing for shouting
05:16 – 05:30 Shouting
05:30 – 05:58 Guitar Solo
05:58 – 06:31 Ending Guitar Solo
06:31 – 06:35 A little talking if you listen carefully

The lyrics is at the bottom.
We titled the song Darkness of the Damned

Lyrics

THE SILENCE OF THE NIGHT IS KILLING ME..
I JUST WANT TO HEAR YOUR VOICE..

THE DARKNESS GETS INSIDE..INSIDE OF ME..
I JUST WANT YOU BY MY SIDE..

COZ EVERY TIME I’M ALONE
I FEEL SOOO COLD
I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE

NOW THAT YOU’RE GONE
I’M DYING INSIDE
I CAN’T GO ON ANYMORE…

THE CRIES OF THE DAMNED ARE CALLING ME
I JUST WANT TO HEAR YOUR VOICE

THE NIGHTMARES THAT I HAD ARE BECOMING REAL
I JUST WANT YOU BY MY SIDE.

COZ EVERY TIME I’M ALONE
I FEEL SOOO COLD
I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE

NOW THAT YOU’RE GONE
I’M DYING INSIDE
I CAN’T GO ON ANYMORE…

SO COME FOR ME
AND SAVE ME FROM THIS DARKNESS
AND LETS PRETEND THAT WE WILL LOVE FOREVER

SO DONT TAKE ANY LONGER
CUZ I CANT GO ON FOR ANOTHER DAY

THE SILENCE, THIS DARKNESS… THE DARKNESS OF THE DAMNED

To Wear a Kira

My earlier post on how To Wear a Gho was mere a sharing of what i had already done. But this time its intentional.

It might just seem like a long patterned sheet of cloth to the others, but Kira is the national dress of Bhutan (for female).
Click to see a little girl wearing a kira.
I thought, just posting on how to wear a gho would be a little biased. For equality, this is for the ladies… on how to wear a kira.

I sought help from my friend, Chhoe Nnyi (nickname), who drew these for me. All the credit goes to her.
